Algae grows in pools with inadequate water circulation or wrong chemical types and levels.
Most types of swimming pool algae can be controlled and eradicated using algacides or other types of swimming pool chemicals. If you can wait for the chemicals to work, chemical treatment is the best option.
If you need the algae to be removed immediately then what we recommend is what is called a "chlorine bath" .
This consists of a swimming pool drain followed by chlorine application over the entire pool surface with special emphasis on the areas that have a noticeable algae presence. After applying the chlorine mixture we will scrub the algae with a brush, removing it from your pool.
Yellow and Green algae will most likely be completely removed. For the complete removal of black algae additional measures may be required.
